Our Programs
Our prepared environment responds to the child's sensitive periods in order to blossom to the fullest potential possible. Learning occurs naturally and joyfully at the proper moment for each child.
T&C cultivates the child's natural spontaneity of learning and bring the child to the fullest possible realization of his/her individual potentialities. Dr. Maria Montessori observed the importance of birth to 6 years of age. This time period that she refers to as the "Absorbent Mind" is the most important and critical years of learning. The second half of that time period from 3 to 6 years is especially crucial. At T&C we believe that your child's success is our success. Our prepared environment along with a trained guide allows each child to discover, experience, learn and develop according to his/her own pace.
Our classes include: Creative Art, Science, Spanish, Mathematics, Music, Yoga, Soccer, Dance, Gymnastics, etc.
Practical Life
Practical Life (teach me to do it myself) Exercises are designed to develop the child's physical co-ordination (hand-eye), motor skills, independence and concentration. By learning to perform daily tasks give the child a sense of responsibility, self-worth and confidence, thus an accomplishment which leads to development of character. Courtesy and social graces are also incorporated in this area. Learning to take care of ones self and the environment is a primary goal in Practical life.
Language & Phonics
Montessori Method of introducing language is by teaching the child the phonetic sounds of the letters. By this approach, the child learns to familiarize with the sounds, then on to word-building, reading, speaking and writing. This system is of a multi-sensory nature, which enhances language development. Mandarin and Spanish are also incorporated into our program.
Sensorial
Sensorial Education is fundamental in the intellectual development of the child. The materials provided help to develop the child's sensory-motor capabilities of the five senses. The child becomes more aware of his surrounding by observing the environment more intelligently. The graded activities consist of sequencing, matching, classifying and sorting. Sensorial Education also indirectly prepares the child for other areas of development like reading, language and math.
Cultural Activities
Children should be given the opportunity to be fully aware of the different facets of the environment and the world. Cultural Education is an activity-based program that covers Geography, History, Botany, Zoology, Science and Nature Study. Creative activities (exercises) allowing exploration and general knowledge is undeniably a welcome addition in giving the child self-worth and confidence to last him a lifetime.

YOUNG
PHILANTHROPISTS
THE ART OF GIVING
at TC we teach each child at a very young age the art of giving as oppose to only receiving. We encourage children to see the smiles and happiness on others faces when you give. This art of giving-philanthropy is an important value we offer to our children whether through art, acts of kindness, music, or making it a family affair.

MARCH 2019
We enrolled our daughter in T&C Montessori and have loved every day of it! When we pop in to observe her, she is always very happy in her environment and the teachers are great with her. We love her teacher Marlena, who our daughter took to like family. Overall, a great experience with them!
